Welcome to Notes for Men, a space dedicated to self-help, mental health, and life lessons — written mainly for men, but resonating with everyone.
 This is your place to reflect, share, and write notes that help others grow.

How to Apply

Applying to write for Notes for Men takes 3 simple steps:

  1. Follow the Publication (Notes for Men).
  2. Leave a comment on this post if you want to be added as a writer.
  3. Wait for confirmation — a clap or response from the editor means you’re in.

Writers will be added on a rolling basis (please allow up to 1 week). You may leave anytime.

This publication is open to everyone. Medium’s general rules apply.

Requirements and Submission Guidelines

1. Length

  • Stories should be 500 to 2,000 words.
  • Poems, shorter reflections, or micro-essays under 500 words are also welcome.

2. Topics

  • Male mental health and emotional well-being
  • Self-help, discipline, productivity, and resilience
  • Notes and lessons from books
  • Identity, relationships, and purpose
  • Money, career, and personal growth

3. Submitting

  • Submit only drafts for review (no already-published stories).
  • Limit to 1 submission per day.

4. Originality

  • All work must be your original writing.
  • No plagiarism. No rehashed AI-only content. (Writing about AI is fine.)

5. Language & Style

  • Write in a clear, approachable, and respectful tone.
  • No discriminatory, offensive, or purely promotional content.

6. Images

  • Every story should have at least one main image.
  • Use copyright-free sources (Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay) or your own images.
  • Cite image sources. AI-generated images are acceptable if credited.

7. Editing

  • We use tools like Grammarly for quick checks, but please proofread before submitting.
  • Editors may lightly edit for clarity, grammar, or formatting.

8. Tags

  • Use up to 5 tags per story.
  • Include “Notes for Men” as one tag to help visibility.
