Medium Gave Me 218 Presentations (And I’m Weirdly Happy About It)

Medium Gave Me 218 Presentations (And I’m Weirdly Happy About It)
Finally, proof I exist… at least 218 times.

So I opened my Medium stats today and saw something new.
A shiny new metric: Presentations.
And for me? It said 218 this month.
What Are Presentations?
Medium just added this feature. Presentations basically mean: “Your story was shown in front of readers.”
Not clicked, not read, not bookmarked for a rainy day. Just… shown.
Like the story version of waving at someone across the street.
My 218 Glory
Now, 218 may sound small. (Okay, it is small. Even my WiFi speed is higher.)
But honestly, I was happy. Because that number means something real:
218 times Medium said: “Here, world, look at this person’s story.”
218 tiny moments where my words had the chance to meet a reader.
Did everyone click? Nope. But that’s fine. I’ll take my 218 little waves and frame them on the wall.
Why I Actually Love This Feature
Here’s the thing: I think this is one of the best updates Medium has made in a long time.
Because before, if your reads were low, you never knew if your story was even shown to anyone. Now you do.
It’s like Medium saying: “Relax, you’re not invisible. You’re just… not everyone’s cup of coffee.”
Are You Seeing This Too?
So tell me:
Did you spot the new Presentations stat yet?
What number did you get?
Is it bigger than 218 (probably yes)?
Finally
I may not have thousands of views, but hey—218 people saw my story exist.
And that makes me feel oddly proud.
So thank you, Medium, for this new feature. It’s honest, it’s clear, and for once… it actually makes the “Stats” page more fun.
Now excuse me while I stare at my 218 like it’s a trophy.
with love,
