Healing doesn’t come with a deadline.

You keep whispering to yourself,
“I should be okay by now.”

But who set that timeline?
Who told you that three months is enough to forget?
That you need to be smiling by next Monday?
That you can’t still cry over someone who walked away without looking back?

Let’s stop pretending healing is a to-do list.
 Let’s stop pretending we’re machines.

Some wounds are deep.
Some love stories leave behind a mess that takes time to sort through.
Some losses rearrange everything you thought you knew.

And the worst part?
You’re still expected to show up, perform, laugh at jokes, respond to messages.

You feel guilty for still hurting.
You feel weak for still remembering.
You feel dramatic for still missing someone who didn’t even say goodbye properly.

But let’s be real.
 Healing isn’t linear.
 It isn’t pretty.
And it doesn’t care about your calendar.

So don’t rush it.
Don’t beat yourself up for not being “over it” yet.
Don’t fake smiles just to make others comfortable.

You’re allowed to grieve in silence.
You’re allowed to break down in the middle of a good day.
You’re allowed to carry both pain and progress at once.

You’re not behind.
 You’re not broken.
 You’re just healing.
 And that takes time.
