You are not a performance.

Why do you keep fighting for love that should’ve held you from the start?

Why do you rehearse your responses, walk on eggshells, dim your personality —
 just to be accepted?

You keep asking,
“What can I do to be chosen?”
But maybe that’s the wrong question.

Maybe the real question is,
“Why do I keep trying to be enough for people who can’t see me?”

Here’s the truth no one tells you:

Your worth doesn’t increase when someone finally texts you back.
You don’t become more lovable because you were patient with their hot and cold behavior.
You’re not more valuable just because someone finally noticed your silence.

Love is not a reward.
It’s not something you earn by suffering enough.

Stop chasing people who need convincing.
Stop proving your heart to someone who only shows up when it’s convenient.

If you have to perform for love,
 That’s not love.
 That’s survival.

And you weren’t born to survive people.
You were born to be — loudly, deeply, unapologetically.

So let them go.
The ones who can’t love you without conditions.
The ones who only clap for your highlights but disappear during your lows.
The ones who confuse your sensitivity for weakness.

You don’t need their validation.
 You need your freedom.
